Doug and Valerie Richardson founded Long Beach Christian Fellowship in their home back in 1983. Doug and Valerie were married in 1978 and boast of two great sons, one wonderful daughter-in-law, and two beautiful granddaughters and one amazing grandson. From the very beginning, Doug and Val have approached pastoring from a team perspective.
Doug was raised in a Christian home and came into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ at the age of seven. During his early twenties, he came into a dynamic experience with the Holy Spirit that resulted in him entering the pastoral ministry. In 1979, Doug received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from
California State University, Fullerton. Doug received a Master of Divinity degree from
The King's Seminary in 2002 and completed a Doctor of Ministries degree in 2005. Doug's specific focus was upon
increasing trust in the local church. In addition to his pastoral leadership, he is also a certified trainer, coaching individuals towards the possibilities for transforming relationships in life, marriage, church and the corporate setting.
Doug and Valerie’s desire is to serve this congregation with vision, passion, and excellence.
