Our Vision…
We intend for our elementary aged children to grow in their knowledge and understanding of Jesus Christ and what it means to be a Christian. Our goal is to maximize both learning and enjoyment for the kids by utilizing a variety of creative teaching methods and expressions….. We believe God can be FUN - and learning about Him can be too!!
The aim of Children’s Church is not solely to educate the intellect of our children but to create an experience with them in which the heart of Jesus is expressed “with skin.” In that, we accept and celebrate each of our youngsters as unique and creative expressions of our loving Creator! We believe it is vital to their personal development and foundational to their faith for our children to experience how precious they are as distinct individuals, gifted and purposed by God. We hope to impart a sense of personal worth as well as a deep awareness and understanding of their value in the eyes of our Lord. Anchored in love, our children are precious to Jesus and the Kingdom of Heaven!
Our Vision in Practice…
- Children’s Church instructors teach biblical values and stories according to their individual strengths and personalities. Teachers express their unique giftings and creativity in the development of topical activities and exercises for the children. Our intention is to provide kids with a variety of experiences while expanding and addressing diverse learning styles. We also seek to model for the children the value of diversity and an appreciation of our individuality - each of us a unique, creative expression of a boundless God!
- Age specific teaching modalities include but are not limited to: Christian principled cartoons and videos, story telling, arts and crafts, dancing, singing, reading and/or acting out Bible stories, playing games together that incorporate Christian basics…
and more!
- Having fun, making friends, laughing, and engaging in activities together is woven into the fabric of our ministry and we believe integral to accomplishing the vision we have set forth.
- We believe how we show up with the children is perhaps, the most powerful experience they will have of Jesus “with skin” and we take this responsibility seriously. Our desire is to be living mirrors of Christ – loving, accepting, and cherishing each precious life...…
in order that they may abound in His love through us!
